History : Heartland Awards was started in 2002. It was started by Paul Ryan, who prior to starting Heartland Awards, worked in the awards industry on the wholesale distribution side. What he saw was an industry that was content on selling “cookie cutter products.” They could pull it off the shelf, put a little frosting (decoration/engraving) on the top, then ship it out. Some of this is fine, and we do offer many of these products. But our passion is offering the unique shapes or unique finishes that others don’t want to mess with. We want to build the product that meets your unique image. Customized products is our strength.
Heartland Awards is located in the gentle rolling plains of northwestern Iowa. Our home is in Le Mars, Ice Cream Capital of the World! We love our ice cream, but our focus is still on unique awards for all occasions. Please take the time to learn about the importance of using the right materials for perpetual plaques.
